Poems of Valoran as a project was born when Riot Games released DJ Sona skin. By that time I've already seen "This is War" YouTube series created by a band called Falconshield and I loved it. So, I decided to write a poem about Sona that somewhat resembled lyrics of one of their songs. A bit later I wrote poems about Annie, Leona and Sejuani, but at that time I did not think about adding anyone else to the mix. By September of 2015, however, a thought of actually putting my poems to use came to me and the project began taking shape.
This website is a hobby that combines my professional skills (programming) and skills I wish I could concentrate majority of my time on. When the project first launched, I did not realize just how much time I would need to maintain it. After a few years of improving my writing skills and finally putting my life in a relative order, I now hope to keep adding to this project regularly.
Oh, and of course the usual disclaimer. Poems of Valoran isn’t endorsed by Riot Games and doesn’t reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing League of Legends.
I currently live in Vancouver, British Columbia. I also can be seen occasionally posting on Reddit as Sona_Legendarius. I always enjoyed good poetry, but unfortunately in the modern world it became a niche subject and the majority of people might never appreciate its beauty. Through this project I want to rekindle this love within those who will stumble upon my humble work.
If you want to ask me a question or perhaps you have a suggestion about things to include/update on the website, please do not hesitate to email me at . I'll try to respond within 24 hours. You can also visit the project's Twitter.
